Day +1 Since the Great Disaster

The wind howled like a banshee, and the snow came down so thick I couldn't see my own hand in front of my face. I should have listened to my little sister Heidi. She always worried when I took Cody up foraging in the hills. Now, I regret not telling her where I was headed before leaving her. I remember the ground shaking, the sky turning an eerie green, and then… nothing. When I woke up, Cody was gone. Panic clawed at my throat. I stumbled back down the hill, fear turning my legs to jelly.

The cabin… it's gone. Just splinters and wreckage. The snow piled high, burying everything. Mei… Where is she? I called out for her, but only the howling wind answered.
I have to find her. I have to find a way to survive.

As I looked out towards the ocean, I saw it – a massive iceberg, towering above the waves. It looked… unnatural. Like a piece of the world had been ripped away and tossed aside. And there, perched precariously on the edge of the ice, was a capsized ferry boat. It sent a shiver down my spine. Where did it come from? And what happened to the people on board?

I have to get to that iceberg. Maybe, just maybe, Heidi is there.
